Michael is in that in-between stage, between being a journalism school graduate and an actual journalist. Rather than fight his fellow alumni for a low-paying entry-level reporting job in some rural Canadian town, he left Halifax in 2011, intending to take the year off to live in a small Korean town and earn lots of money. Instead, he was sent to Busan and has already desparately borrowed money from friends. He also realized that he could not help but continue doing journalism, despite his best efforts. Some things never change, I guess. Check out his published work, photos and documentary films at mfraiman.wordpress.com, or give him a lil’ follow @MFraiman.
